Hello Members,

In the thread on door keys for the Jr Z (http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/6265074-post34.html) NIRO asked a question about gas caps for the Jr Z.

As changing the subject within a thread will make searching for a specific topic much more difficult, I decided to start a new thread on gas caps.

The original gas cap for the Jr Z as far as I know, looks like the one in the first picture. It is an original 105 series gas cap.
I have a Marchal gas cap on the car that can be locked. It looks like the gas cap in the second picture and was an accessory back in the eighties when I bought one for my Bertone GT 1300 Junior. The Bertone also had an original gas cap like the one in the first picture.

Hi,olaf.
I have just bought a 1971 jz 1300.The chrome plain cap with the ribbing on the side as in your photo, looks the same as mine.My car is pretty much unmolested and i would think if replaced ,a lockable would have been used.That said it probably is a standard 105 cap as I'm sure the Zagato budjet will not have extended to designing a special cap that is then hidden behind a flap.....But then JZ's are a bit bonkers!

I've just received my gascap but that doesn't fit... Can someone make pictures to help me please? Left is original 105/115 gascap and right is gascap that comes with my car...

Hi just looking at this thread. If your car is a 1600 junior zagato it may have the screw type cap. The fuel tank on the 1600 is not the same as that of the 1300 junior zagato and is on the rear left side. The 1300 junior zagato uses the same bayonet cap as the Montreal. The only two 105 series alfas that have the fuel cap on the rear right of the car.

Rob it correct. The 1600 is threaded. I have a gas cap similar to the one pictured on the right.
