Oil Can Henry's is the only Redline oil dealer within 75 miles of my house, so I went in to see if they had 75/90NS for my transmission. Hilarity ensued.

"Hi. I need Redline 75/90NS lube for my Alfa Romeo's manual transmission."

"I think you mean 'Alfa Romero.'"

"No, I mean "Alfa Romeo." You know--like that Romeeowe guy in Shakespeare?"

"OK--so you need the transmission serviced."

"No, I need Redline 75/90NS. Two quarts."

"Let me look it up."

"There's no need to look it up. Either you have it or you don't."

"Says here you need 75/90. We got that. Oh, wait, and it needs to be NS. We don't got that. We got the additive that will make it NS."

"Uh. . .the additive is for limited slip differentials. This is for a transmission."

"No, the additive makes it NS, but don't use the whole bottle."

And off I went to O'Reilly's to buy non-synthetic 75/90 GL5. I'll run that for awhile until I'm in civilization again and can get the right stuff. It should flush out the nasties and leave a clean home for the Redline.

Uhh, how about Alfa Romeo - You know--like Alfa Rom-ay-o :tt2::tt2:
Isn't he the guy who goes out with Joo-LEEE-et?

No--I know how it's pronounced. It's just easier to get them to see that there's only one "R" in the Shakespeare guy, just like there's only one "R" in the car's name.
