Surely original specs were not as a wide body/GTAm? Maybe restored to a certain period in its history?

Pete
Hello Pete,

I checked the book "Alleggerita" 2nd edition.
#775247 was first mentioned on the 22nd of March 1969 as an Alfa Romeo Spa car with licenseplate BS-259814. It isn't clear to me whether it was a narrow or wide body in 1969.
The first picture is from 15/03/1970. It is a wide body in that picture. So at least from 1970 it had a wide body. Sandro Uberti is mentioned as a driver throughout the first 2 years. Giuliano ("Gianfa") Facetti is mentioned as well.

Any other takes on this?

Ciao, Olaf

Hello members,

According to the homologation form 1557/5/3E for GTA 1300 Junior, wide panels front and rear were permitted from 01-01-1970 onwards in Gruppo 2.

So my conclusion would be that in 1969, # 775247 (as all other GTA 1300 Juniors in that year) was a narrow body and from 1970 onwards, it was wide body Gruppo 2 car.

One but ....
From 01-01-1969, small rear fender extensions were valid according to homologation form 1557.
From 01-04-1969, small front fender extensions were permitted according to homologation form 1557/3/1V.

Ciao, Olaf 🍀
