Can anyone tell me how to get the fuel tank in the trunk of the car out to re-baffle it. There are the two hose attachment points that go through the bottom of the car and you have to lift up to get it out and I cant lift up with a cross bar that goes right above it. I have tried un screwing the hose attachments but they just spin in place and it seems futile to keep trying that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Only way I've done it is having the two banjo bolts and fittings removed from the bottom of the tank.

Yep, both banjo bolts must be removed. It requires some shuffling to fit it out but there is just enough clearance once the banjo bolts are removed. See this thread for more details on fuel tank removal:
