I have just fitted an electric fuel pump to my GT junior but had some problems sealing off the mech pump mounting. To get a leak free joint I removed the plastic spacer and made up a new gasket to cover the whole mounting face before fitting a flat blanking plate.
While doing this I noticed that below the pump push rod hole on the mounting there is another smaller hole which I assume is an oil return to the sump. By blanking off this hole do you think it will cause any oil flow problems or is the push rod hole just splash lubricated ( I have removed the push rod ).
Does anyone have an oil circuit diagram that will confirm this?
