I noticed that I was leaking gas. I thought it may be the connection at the fuel filter ... I was not! When the engine is running the gas is leaking (streaming) out of the protective hose that encapsulates the metal fuel line. Do I have a cracked fuel line or is there somewhere else I need to look? I don't have a lift so getting underneath is a challenge.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks

Suggestion #1:

Don't drive it or fire it up beyond what it necciary for testing form this point forth.

It sure sounds like a cracked hard line, but it may be the coupler at the soft line back by the filter or up at the fuel rail proper and it's just dribbling through a hole in the hard line covering.

Check those ares first, then prep for a line change.

In Spica cars, the foam insulation around the fuel lines traps moisture and then rusts the lines out. If the setup is the same on Bosch cars, that might be what's happening.
