Hi all, Today I was running all new brake lines to rear of my car and i noticed that one of my fuel lines needs to be replaced as well. The line in question is the fuel return line, so I disconnected it where it goes into the rubber hose in the rear of the car and I cut it towards the front of the car and I am going to run a new line back from that point. My other problem is the Fuel Filter banjo connectors, both of them are really rusted and I am afraid that if I try to take them off of the filter I am going to break them. My question is, does anyone know what size the banjo connection that goes into the fuel filter are? I know that banjo connections are available, Volkswagen, Saab and Peugeot also use them and I am hoping that i can find some new ones. So I am looking for the size and thread of the bolt piece of the banjo connector so I can try to match a new one. Thank you.

Hi Steve, Thank you for the bolt specs, would you be able recommend a good supplier for metric banjo fittings and bolts? my curved fitting for the 12mm bolt has a pin hole in it and is now leaking.

Alfa 164 fuel filter and fitting info

The fuel filter fits most all Fuel injected VW, some Volvo and Audi. etc so try a VW dealer or a Pick-N-Pull junk yard.

If that fails remove it from outlet hose and filter and blast clean and repair with silver solder.

I found some replacment fuel filter banjo fittings and bolts off of a 2001 Audi A6 in a salvage yard. I guess there are some parts out there that can be taken off cars other than an Alfa and will work. Saved some money too, just the bolts online are about $10 each, i got all the fittings and bolts for nothing.
