My wife Sherry (VP of AROC's Capital Chapter) bought this 1991 164L, "Marlena," from the original owner, also a woman, in Ohio in 1999 with 48,000 miles. It was truly a mint car. We kept it pampered, garaged and maintained and did some upgrades. Repainted the car all black (originally gray cladding on the bottom) in 2000 and added S alloy wheels. Put on Boge-Sachs shock absorbers and performance springs from IAP, which lowered the car and made it the best handling 164 I've driven. Better than a 164S. And as powerful thanks to a Ricambi chip for 201 hp. This car is really strong and smooth. Inside it is clear it was garaged most of its life (leather and carpets are well above average, no dash warping). Power sunroof, seats and windows work, A/C works, stepper motors have been replaced and are quiet. Paint still shines but shows some age. Seat heaters and rear defroster aren't working but all else is. We sold this car to our friend Bob in the local AROC three years ago and now he's lost garage space so Marlena is for sale to a good Alfa home. Asking $4,950 and offers or trades are very welcome.
