Check out e-Bay item 190162075278 . I traded a fellow BB member a nice Alfa I had for this car because it was just irresistable! Beautiful body, fresh silver paint, and under the hood a strong engine enhanced by dual Dell'Orto carburetors. I adore this car but the place where I have rented garage space just went condo and my wife continues to believe that four Spiders are more than any two people need... a valid point maybe (?)
So anyway this or my '83 has to go and the '83 I restored myself and hate to part with since it is the only one with a roll bar. So who wants this great '81? Formerly owned and modified by Phil Wicks, who drove the red Mini in the original Italian Job and now runs a great race school!
I had the tranny rebuilt and other work done to make sure it's ready to be enjoyed. It is.
I put it up with no reserve. It is currently sitting at $2,275. I hope it will find the terrific new home it deserves.
Great looking car!! I've added it to my watch list and keep checking. I miss Alfas w/ carbs!! I wish someone would take my '91 off of my hands so that I can go look for another Alfa...
BTW, it seems that you have what seems to be a transmission mount for TA Alfas right above the driver's side engine mount (inside of the yellow circle). Can you explain why?
