July 23rd, 4th faturday brunch
was held at Patty's in Bantam, CT just above Litchfield, CT.
Three Alfa were driven to the event, that's Dr. Bob's lovely Giulietta Berlina in the middle. He notes interesting evolution of Alfa sedans. We had eight AROC-CT Alfisti en company at the breakfast.
Afterwards Mike and Kathy's Duetto and my 164, toured upper NW Connecticut driving CT-63 North up to CT272 in Norfolk and then continuing North to New Marborough, MA to the very colonia, Inn on the Green. Drove back down to Norfolk and hiked up Hay Stack Mountian to the tower on it's summit. Mike Kathy and I called it, "Do Over Tower", since we climbed it twice just to cool off -a cool breeze and view rewards the climb on the circular steps.
Afterwards we caught Kieth Goring in at Alfa Unlimited and shared some shop talk and then went for drinks and some food at Infinity Bristro. We enjoyed Kieth's company.
Would not mind a , "do over". Well plan some like it in the fall.
I met Mike and his neat Duetto a few Sunday's ago at Caffeine and Carburetors in New Canaan. Next event it Sunday October 9th. Last turn out was great with some very special cars but we need more Alfas. If you are interested I suggest you Google for details. But the reason for my note is to find out more about the CT ALFA OWNERS CLUB and when your next get together is.
