haha! that is awesome. Hard to imagine it could be real though. I hope it is and the guy gets a great offer that makes him and the buyer happy.

Yeah, as much as I'd love an $800 dollar Speciale, it would be a **** shame if the seller doesn't get a fair price for what looks like a pretty solid car, after her dad kept it all those years. I don't think I could drive it without feeling guilty.

Well, it's that rare breed, a Sprint Speciale Normale, check out the single carb. Hard to know if a scam, clueless seller, fishing, or what. A similarly nasty car on ebay was at $15,000 last I looked.

If someone here gets it, great find.

I did call. Sounds legit. I did advise of true value. They were ok with the c/l price. I have agreed to buy. I would like it if someone in the Gainesville FL could inspect for me. Anyone have a transport company they can recommend? It all sounds too good, but will kick myself if I didn't pursue it.

Hemmings has a beautifully restored one for $89,500!! I'll go halfs with anyone on the spurchase/restore, and split the selling profits!! Of course after we split 50/50 custody of driving fun time!!

I bought it!
Very interesting. I talked to the seller last night around 1am EDT. We had agreed on the sale. So now this looks more like a scam.
PM me with details greatly appreciated.
Cheers, Jon

i doubt its real just because of the difference in lighting between the first three pictures and the last two

the lighting for that picture is dark because its inside a shed
but the last two look like they were taken outside

notice how the paint is also shiner and it lost the straps on the fender

Is it possible that pictures of two cars have been used to create this ad? Might the indoor shot shows a real SS, but the two outdoor shots show a non-SS Sprint normale? I'm not enough of an expert on 101 Sprints to point out details that would prove this, other than to agree with Andrew's observation: all SS's came with dual Webers.

Decided this was too risky. Seller could not provide more photos, car not with her. It may well be legit, but I am going with" if it's too good to be true........". Thanks to all the observations from members, I was looking through buyers hopeful eyes. Someone closer to FL may still catch a bargain.
