If you're anything like me you've dealt with a lot of old cracked plastic parts on these cars. If it's ABS it's easy to glue, but glues really don't stick to polyethylene or polypropylene and I usually resort to plastic welding on those.
I've recently tried Infinity SuperTac glue sticks on some of these more difficult plastics and I've been impressed so far. It's a hot melt glue designed for PE/PP/PET/PVC plastics and it bonds surprisingly well. Easy to use and you can build things up structurally with it.

It's working quite well for me with a standard glue gun.
