Hey all,

I am going to sell my newly acquired 164L. It's black with tan leather interior and a 5 speed. I just do not know enough about these cars and do not have the time to spend on it ( not that it needs much). And I hate just seeing it sit in the garage not being used. There are no major problems with the car. Reason I am not driving it is because it needs an oil pan gasket, and I hate oil leaks. The engine was completely rebuilt so it's as good as new. It has 17 inch Alfa rims on it ( some German company who made them). The good. Body is in awesome shape, except for one rust spot on the rear right fender. The rims must be very rare because I have not seen any other 164 with them, the interior is in perfect shape. The bad. Oil pan gasket leak. Ac does not work. Odometer does not work due to when they installed a new steering rack or something they broke off the gear in the transmission that controls that. I do have a new gear for it that can be reinstalled. Aside from these things you have the usual issues associated with a 15+ yo car. the seat relays are pesky and do not work sometimes. The sunroof works great. The car has a broken front turn signal light and a very small dent on the right front. I was told by the previous owner that this occurred while the car was being put on a tow truck for having a dead battery and the tow truck driver did not stop the car in time and hit the tow truck cab. It's really minor. Oh, and the coolant reservoir has a small leak in it. I think this sums up the issues it has. In reality these all are minor. The car just needs someone who will have the time and put the effort in returning it to it's glory. I absolutely love this car, but I cannot give it the time it needs. I paid $3000 for it and would like to ask the same in return. I also have 2 boxes of replacement parts consisting of suspension parts, gears, belts.....etc that came with the car. I will post pics later if anyone wants them. I am just merely seeing if anyone would be interested first. If there are any questions, by all means ask away. Thanks.

Is this the same car you are talking about in last paragraph? http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/446414-post14.html

Alfisto Steve, yes it is. I figured out what the clatter is. It's the idler pulley going bad. I put some wd40 around the bolt and the clatter went away. I am sure this is minor.
