I need some information for a 1971 GTV engine rebuild we are doing.

Flywheel grinding
We need the dimension from the pressure plate mounting to the friction surface on a 1750 flywheel

crankshaft galley plugs
what is the preferred method for reinstalling the plugs in the crankshaft?

Also does anyone know if oversized thrust washers are available for the mains? Thanks.

Centerline Alfa shows only standard thrust bearings. I don't know if anyone else has oversize. You might try Jon Norman (510) 525-9435

Crank plugs are driven in and staked at the factory. They are known to fall out of 2000s, which have nitrided cranks. Not such a big problem on 1750 cranks, which are not nitrided. A standard fix is to tap the holes and insert allen-head plugs.

I can't help you immediately on the flywheel step; I have a flywheel at home and could measure it, but there's no guarantee it's the proper dimension.
