So, after a long filled week of alfas- the recent Alfas in the Bluegrass Convention, I have summed up the motivation to document the complete restoration of our 1969 GTV that was almost completed for the convention. Unfortunately we did not finish it in time, but there will be pics when it is finished! I've decided to start from way back in the beginning when we picked up the car from a storage unit after sitting for years. It was originally an Arizona car. When we contacted Alfa we got the following back: the chassis number AR 1530259 originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce USA (105.51), manufactured on the 8th February 1969 and sold on the 10th February 1969 to Alfa Romeo Germany, Frankfurt. The body colour is Alfa red (AR 501), with black skai interiors.

Here are the pics of the mess we started with:

and the boxes of parts

It had had a nose collision

more pics to come

Hi,

Very interesting thread... subscribed!!!
I'm very impressed with the work, congratulations!
Also... I'd like to have an idea of the time it takes for every major step (body work, engine rebuilding, suspension and driveshaft, interior...).

Keep the photos coming and add as much as you can please!

Waiting for more... ;-)
