i doubt anyone will agree on this but narrowing it down a bit would be nice

i've for some reason had trouble finding performance tests for these cars in comparison to other manufacturers, or even each other for that matter.

I guess i'm looking for experienced opinions on which models are quick, best handling, etc...
i appreciate all input but im only really interested in models before 1980

thanks

You might try:

Concept Cars, Prototype Vehicles, Wallpaper, and More

There are some rare and interesting ones from the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s(prolly not covered in the above source). But, with practicality in mind you might begin with the Giulitta/Giulia series from 1955 to 1965.

I have the full road test comparisons in a Brit car mag between the 1964 Healey 3000 and the 1964 Giulia Spider.

Rave about the Alfa and they have to reach to find the positives for the Healey.

Hope this gets you started.

What about the 164 pro-car - said to be in excess of 210mph (due to the more slippery shape than the F1 cars of the time.)
There seems to be a lot on the internet discussing 350kmh (217mph)

not the fastest, but heres some interesting comparison info;
