I bought a brand New Hella fuel pump from Centerline. Unfortunately I mis-diagnosed my problem ad I did not need it. Centerline will not take it back:mad:, so I am forced to sell it to try to recoup some of my losses.

It was in the car for 1 day. Just long enough to determine the real problem. Centerline charges $161.00 for it. I will take $125.00 and will ship UPS at no charge anywhere in the contenental US.

Send me a PM if interested.

 What are you mad about - you're giving the impression it's because CL won't take it back.
$161 is a lot of money.

However, How old is the original pump? Keep it as a spare. If you keep the car for any length of time, you will probably need it.
I dont' know that any business would take it back. If it was in the car one day, it is now a used part.
That was my point. While you might be able to slip by:eek: and "try" another part and return it, it'll never happen with a fuel pump cause of the smell. Ain't Centerline's fault that wasn't the real problem. But maybe I'm reading it out of context.
Return policies for automotive electrical parts is always been "if you install it, it's yours".

;)
I understand the return policy and have no problem with it. If I were selling the pump I would have the same policy. I am NOT mad at centerline, I am very frustrated with the situation. It is hard enough to spend the money needed to keep these cars going, but to spend un needed money hurts even more. To add to my pain I thought the new pump was bad and it centerline was out of stock. I was in a hurry to get my car running so I spent even more on a replacement pump from International with the intention of returning the part to centerline. As it turns out the pump was not bad, I now have close to $400.00 invested in fuel pumps. You guys may be rolling in money but I am not.

I am sorry, I meant no disrespect. Actually, I'm not rolling in money, it's more like downding in it. ;)

No one likes to pi$$ away money on parts they don't need. If it were me, I'd reinstall the new pump and store the used one. As luck will have it, the used pump will probably fail just as soon as you sell the new one.

Best of luck with the car.
Ditto to the above post. Good luck with the car.
Actually, I have a new pump in the car from international and a new pump on the bench from Centerline. The original used pump I pulled from the car I offered to another member of this board once I determined that the pump was not the problem. So it just goes to prove that no good deed goes un punished.
Are you drownding in money too? :p
:eek:Misread that as "drowning" in money - re: All the money I save by shopping in Wal Mart;)
Pump Still for sale
Sold and shipped
congratulations!
