Hi all,

I couldn't figure out where else to post this so here it is.

I need a little exhaust tweaking done on my Spider and need a good muffler shop. Preferably in Lakewood or the Greenwood Village/Centennial area.

TIA,

Chris

Yeah, maybe. What I have though is some bolt on parts that have left a bit too little clearance between the cat/mid-muffler flange and the seat pan. So I don't really need anyone who knows a thing about Alfas but rather somebody who's a specialist in bending exhaust tubing.......

I always had good luck with Meineke here in Alpharetta, Ga. My guess is that most muffler shops could do what you want done.

Thanks Joe! I should have asked you when I was on the phone with you about this a few weeks back (you're the only Joe there at Centerline, right?). That's actually perfect for me - I go almost right by there on my way to work every morning. I'll just drop it and grab the light rail at the station a few blocks away.

Got an appointment tomorrow morning.

Thanks again,

Chris

Bud's hooked me up this morning. Can't believe how cheap it ended up - in the future I think I might just blow-off bolt-on parts (sorry Joe!) and get these guys to just do it custom at their prices! Besides, they cut out a whole flange and welded a pipe in it's place so I guess I'm stuck in the middle anyway.

Pretty funny experience there this morning - I just needed to get a little more clearance with the body in one spot. Dude (Mike) puts it up on a lift and we go under and start looking at it. Mike let's out this big sigh and says "We won't be able to just heat it and bend it, we'll have to cut here, cut there and bend a new pipe for it." He then goes on about how they'll mandrel bend it for good flow and straighten out the whole system, etc. Meanwhile I'm seeing $$$$. So I say "well, how much will that run me?". And Mike says "come up to the front with me and I'll calculate it all out and give you a price." The price? $64.99! LOL - he could have just said "not much"!

A big thumbs-up for Bud's - they'll definitely get my business in the future! They would've even done it while I waited (on less than 24 hours notice that I'd be coming in) but I needed to get to work. I also posted this on a couple of other non-Alfa forums and EVERY answer I got was Bud's!
