My 164Q keeps blowing the engine services fuse. Does not blow every time though. It seems to be when I turn hard left or right. I read on this forum that it could the fuel pump, evap canister solenoid or motronic relay. I climbed under the car and found on the left side a wire harness that had fallen down and rubbed through on the cv boot. The two white wires were bare and the black was completely broken. The harness has 2 white high temp wires (silicone or teflon) and a black wire. The whole harness is covered in some sort of heat braiding. I fixed this all up but am not sure if this has solved the problem. What is this harness for?
Thanks:confused:

G'Day Andrew,

Yes, the fuse can blow because one of the black wires is the 12v power to the O2 heater.
White wires (the other is ground), the black (or sometimes green) is the O2 signal.

The 12V comes from the fuel pump relay which gets it power from the engine services fuse.
