This engine came to me as a rebuild project. The number appears to be for a Scalino or Duetto but falls outside the range of my Fusi directory. Is the directory short-sighted?

Hi there,

An 00536* engine is definitevly a 1600 ccm engine... this said: it can be for a scalino for a "GT Veloce" or a round tail 1600 Duetto or even a 1600 Softnose Junior or even a 1600 Kam tail Duetto depending of the kind of oil filter its equiped with.

Short:

  • If the AR 00536* Engine has a side canned oil filter, its for a Stepnose bertone coupé or an Osso di Seppia Duetto (round tail Duetto)
  • If he AR 00536* Engine has a screwed on oil filter (the more modern variant) its for a softnose 1600 Junior or a Kamm tail duetto.
Hope this helps,

Thomas
