Hello guys/girls. Just inherited an alfa engine from a relative in the UK but i don't know anything about them. So is there anyone who can tell me what the engine is ? id plate showing, AS 30128 0060404, it also has twin weber carbs but i cant find any carb numbers either other than weber made in italy.
it is of no use to me so would anyone in the UK be interested in a spare engine, seems ok but a bit oily.
many thanks for your time guys !

Sorry, I didn't see this thread until just now. Can you post pictures of the engine?
emgine id

hi, thanks for that, i will post some pics over the weekend. cheers
The engine number you provided (AS301...) indicates that the engine is for one of the variants of the Alfasud (1972-82 IIRC) but I do not have any further infomation. The engine you got is a flat four with downdraught carbs, right? Try posting the question in the forum titled "Boxer Engined Alfa Romeos" and I am pretty sure that someone can give you a definite answer.

Good luck,

EDIT: I found this very informational site in the Internet: Click Here. According to the table found on this site, the engine is 1,500cc units used in some Suds and Sud Sprints.
