This is a rare alpha romeo all right as it has my favorite fabric seats in it. Which really was an option in the 164L I kid you not. So maybe the EIF is excellent interior fabric which he mis-states as EFI in text of ad could also stands for excellent fabric interior so hence a special edition. But decal actually says EIF powered wow that is special whatever it is!

Chances are it was a 164L with fabric seats that somebody install 164S wheels and some "special" decals.

Now according to my Alfa parts CD database the VIN ZAREA43L4P6269308 is for a 93L w/AT manufactured 07-92 so engine number should be AR06412*0028968.

Appears to have been first sold/registered in 1995.

This car has been around before on alfaBB and/or ebay and here is current ebay history report:

Below are the historical events for this vehicle listed in chronological order. Any discrepancies will be in bold text.

Wow! I think you are correct about the decal, I really thought this car was some special edition.

Steve, are you serious about liking the seats? In my brief history with 164's (3 years?) I have only seen one with cloth seats, 1991 base model. One of the worst things about the car was the seats, they were torn on every seam, the interior was unattractive, I did not even want to sit on the seats.

Don't knock 164 fabrics!

Rick go easy. Yes fabric 164 seats are my favorite as I have been sitting on them since 1991. Granted mine are getting a little long in the tooth but still have intact seams.

I am now warming up to leathers in BB1 (camel tan) and BB2 (black) only because they have been cared for and almost soft as butter.

My soft velours in my B have been comfy for over 220,000 miles. I still have this car: http://www.velocetoday.com/cars/cars_74.php

Yup, put 260k miles on my first Alfa, a Giulia Sprint GT with cloth/vinyl combination seat covering, and fabric part lasted much longer. Unless carefully taken care of, leather sucks.

Fabric is for non-functional A/C. The camel leather is da kine if primo! Oddly, they don't hold up as well as the dark leather. The Recaro interior on a 164 is the absolute best!
Steve, I know your A/C works, or will shortly.
