Other than the engine being a 2.0L, other than the wheels, other than the spare tire being in the trunk, other than the paint-over on the rear trunk cleats and trunk lock knob, other than the lettering on the side, it all looks original.

Depends on what you mean by "problem" and what you mean by "real."

Other than the engine being a 2.0L, other than the wheels, other than the spare tire being in the trunk, other than the paint-over on the rear trunk cleats and trunk lock knob, other than the lettering on the side, it all looks original.
And the missing airbox (to say nothing of the entire original engine??), and the incorrect side repeaters, and the ashtray "badge," and incorrect trunk badging, incorrect color, and the fact that the car didn't originally have leather or contrast piping. Missing front disc brakes. Wiring loom also looks suspect. I could go on; there's more.

The seller seems to have very little/no idea of what original/correct is, considering that he touts the polished valve cover (incorrect) and badging (incorrect) as "factory correct."

Other than the serial number/body (if that), why is this car valued more than any "abnormale," with its missing original engine and other "modifications?" It would take a lot of $$$ to make it correct again, but I guess that isn't really the question posed....

Certainly seems like it would be a fun driver, though.
