Rob! - what happened? I sure hope this isn't too serious...... You can see by my new accident-inspired automotive wear () that driving is not permitted for the next 3 months. ...
Compression fractures of T12 and L1.....an extension ladder collapsed under me and I dropped about 6'. A friend set it up and his wife went up it first. I followed her and ladder let go.
No Spider driving as I cannot get in and out of the car (too low) or shift. Actually no driving at all since the drugs are pretty strong. So its back to the Audi's.....makes me wish for an automatic 164 to satisfy my Alfa cravings.
The worst part of this is that October is typically the best month for driving the Vermont mountains. Great color, cool sunny days, etc. But not this year. I will have to "observe and direct" my wife through setting up the car for storage. I think it will be the first time she spins a wrench!

Yep you did...but as a one-time roll-your-own-er, you know being told what to do by someone else has its reactions. Only wish I had paid attention. I am thankful I have 10 fingers, 10 toes and everything in-between works.
Thanks....car is yours should you make the journey. Somewhat better than the car you had when you were in Burlington a couple of years ago.Rob -
Don't know how I missed this, must've been on vacation in Cali or making wine in Walla Walla.
I add my wishes for your speedy recovery. I can't/won't offer to come help your wife put your Spider in storage, though I would come drive it for the next month or so, so it doesn't feel neglected through the late fall.
Speaking of fall. Hope you're better soon!
