It's ALFA ROMEO in BLOCK letters (two independent sections of lettering). Independent and in a much smaller BLOCK lettering is "INIEZIONE".

Attached is another POS for you to Critique:

Thanks for the info on plugging the tranny openings! I will give that a try.

Did the 67 have a radiator overflow bottle, or just run overflow to the ground?

Dis US spec cars not have the bigger front calipers? Certainly UK spec 1750s have bigger ATE calipers than 1600s. Single circuit brakes persisited into 69 at least on UK cars too.

They also don't have headrests.

A lot of the variations on the US 1750 were the first use, forced by burgeoning US regualtions.

No 67's had overflow bottles that I know of. Many adapted the later ones, or used aftermarket items. Finding a place for it was difficult with the cross over air cleaner (that was soooo big).

While we are on the subject, did some 69 Spiders with dual servos come without radiator expansion (header) tanks? Mine doesn't seem to have the connections for it in the expected place- front right bulkhead (next to the distributor).
mine has an expansion tank ill post a pic tommarow. its on the right inner fender and bolts to a sheet metal braket, in front of the air box.
