Hi, could you advise me, how to start a hot 1.6l engine of my 1978 spider with dual webers? Cold starts are smooth, but the hot engine is cranking for a long time, before it starts finally... Do you guys have some tips and tricks for better starting? (How to handle the gas pedal while cranking etc.) Thanks!

I have the same problem with my Lancia Scorpion and was told to do the following:

1. Check for air bubbles and/or leaks in the fuel line
2. Make sure the fuel pump is putting out about 3 psi or whatever your recommended fuel pressure is, when its hot.
3. Check to make sure the choke opens up when its hot if you have an automatic choke

Hope this helps,
Ed
