The Lone Star Chapter of AROC has put together a club outing on Saturday, October 24th. It is a joint event with us, the Italian Car Club of the Southwest and the DFW Fiat Club.

12:00 noon, we will be touring Top O' Hill Terrace in Arlington. The facility started in the early 1920s as a tea room and dinner place located along the Bankhead Highway in Arlington. In the late 1920s, new owners converted the facility into a casino, adding an escape tunnel and secret room for hiding the gambling paraphernalia during the raids. There is more history to be shared on the tour. The facility is now owned and operated by the Arlington Baptist College and the address is 3001 West Division Street, Arlington. It is located on the north side of West Division, and is situated between Eastchase Parkway to the west, and North Fielder Road to the east. It should be a great tour. The cost is a suggested donation of $5 per person for the tour.

2:00 Lunch at nearby Arlington Steak House, 1724 West Division Street. Join us! The lunch will be $10 per head. They have a special room set aside for us along with a special menu. Come on!

In addition to this, the DFW Fiat Club has arranged a reception at 4:00 at Fiat of Dallas, 5403 Lemmon Avenue, Dallas. They are having a special reception for us to Celebrate their NEWLY REMODELED location. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

Please let me or Karen Phillips know you are coming. Here email address is [email protected].

Thanks everyone,

New update: the event this weekend is being postponed due to the heavy rain in the area expected this weekend. We are pushing it back to Saturday, November 14th.

Much thanks.
I have been told that the reception at Alfa Romeo FIAT of Dallas that was arranged by the DFW Fiat Club is still on for this Saturday. Come by at 4:00 for a special reception. Their address is 5403 Lemmon Avenue, Dallas. They are having a special reception for us to celebrate their NEWLY REMODELED location. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

This may also be a good time to play a joke on the parts department by going and asking if they have any (insert unobtainable part here) for your Alfa. I will be asking for replacement seat motors for my 164.

Thanks everyone and see you on Saturday.
The rescheduled club event is this Saturday, November 14th. Noon at Top o the Hill in Arlington, lunch at 2PM at the steakhouse....still a "go". Weather projection looks good. Contact Karen Phillips to let her know you are coming. Her email address is [email protected].

Thanks everyone.
It would be neat if the Alfa Clubs from Dallas, Houston and Austin/San Antonio could all meet at a centralized location. The Mercedes Clubs from those areas once a year meet at Centerville, TX for BBQ and for a show and shine at the nearby State park there. It is fun as you meet new people and see different cars. They do theirs in May before it gets a bit too hot. Paul
Hi Paul. That is actually a very good idea. Let me talk with Richard our club president and see what he says.

Thanks!
