The Lone Star Chapter of AROC has put together a club outing on Saturday, October 24th. It is a joint event with us, the Italian Car Club of the Southwest and the DFW Fiat Club.
12:00 noon, we will be touring Top O' Hill Terrace in Arlington. The facility started in the early 1920s as a tea room and dinner place located along the Bankhead Highway in Arlington. In the late 1920s, new owners converted the facility into a casino, adding an escape tunnel and secret room for hiding the gambling paraphernalia during the raids. There is more history to be shared on the tour. The facility is now owned and operated by the Arlington Baptist College and the address is 3001 West Division Street, Arlington. It is located on the north side of West Division, and is situated between Eastchase Parkway to the west, and North Fielder Road to the east. It should be a great tour. The cost is a suggested donation of $5 per person for the tour.
2:00 Lunch at nearby Arlington Steak House, 1724 West Division Street. Join us! The lunch will be $10 per head. They have a special room set aside for us along with a special menu. Come on!
In addition to this, the DFW Fiat Club has arranged a reception at 4:00 at Fiat of Dallas, 5403 Lemmon Avenue, Dallas. They are having a special reception for us to Celebrate their NEWLY REMODELED location. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
