Cylinder Liner Hold Down Tools

This is what Alfa factory tools look like installed to hold down cylinder liners in a 164 V6 engine. I pulled heads off my son's ebay parts car today.

cool can you still get them? though i hope i don't need them any time soon
I'm using 5" long, 1/2" conduit and large washers. Works fine, but the factory tools are of course the most elegant solution.

Yes. They cover a ton of cars so they are not specific to this car which is good, that means they will stick around for a while.

They sure work nice when you spin the engine with the starter so liners can't move, too.

They sure work nice when you spin the engine with the starter so liners can't move, too. Yesterday I changed oil and filter and preoiled lower end by spinning oil pump first to lube bearings.
