I am rebuilding a seized but I believe salvageable 1600. Cranks out anticipating she may need some attention. Will be inspecting surfaces tomorrow.

Any suggestions of good shops near Massachusetts? While we're at it engine shop suggestions would helpful as well.

I have found it best over the years. To find an engine machine shop that has a crank turning machine. That way if there is a problem down the road with the crank. They can't blame it on the crank guy and kick it down the road.

Well, my search has led me to Boucher's Racing...nearby to me (I live in Beverly MA they are in Rowley MA) and while they are literally out straight for 9 months, they offer everything I may need and are interested in the project. Check them out:
