I have a pair of early DCOE2 bodies, but one cover is missing, so I'm hoping to put together a working pair.

I'm looking for a top for a 40DCOE2 "large top" Weber. This style top covers the extra passages in the body of early versions of this carb. There is extra material in the top to the right of the screw near "BOLOGNA" as seen in the attached photo.

The BB's giving me fits posting this for some reason John. First, try Larry Jr at APE. I have one in the 3200 sn range, but also have the bits to make it back into a complete LT 40DCOE2, so am not anxious to sell.
Your '60's set should have silver cad plating, not gold, which appeared late 66 into early 67.

Gordon,
Thanks for the tips. I'll contact Larry.
The 40 DCOE 2 cover that I have is #1204 so pretty early. Do you have any idea of the year?

I forgot to mention that I also need a large top 40 DCOE 4 cover. I have #33649, but its mate has a 42 DCOE small top cover (as I recall, a 42DCOE8 for Maserati 3500).

BB is also giving me fits - REALLY SLOW.

You need to contact me at my e-mail address <[email protected]> where we can exchange photos and discuss. I think I may have a 40DCOE4 cover somewhere as well. I restore a lot of older Italian Webers for customers, and over time have accumulated a lot of mismatched parts, all now looking for correct applications.
Best, Gordon

Interswiss,
I did find one in the mean time, but with a much higher S/N. At least it fits properly. So, I'll pass.

Still looking for one close to #1204, but I'm not very hopeful.

Thanks for the offer,
John
