I know there has been some discussion about this but is there a definitive answer on the best lights to use to convert gauge lights (speedo, tach, instruments) to LED? I have the interior apart right now and would like to get that done.

If memory serves , there can be a difference for the dual binnacle vs the monopod dash layout. LED directional light and may not produce sufficient lighting in all locations. Also a lot of LED are not dimmable, so you may lose that feature.

I did this in a 74 Spider (dual binnacle). Two sizes covered all of the lights and they dimmed fine. I did the same on my Giulia Super and it's worth the effort. I bought the lights on Amazon.The links are below.

Cool! Good to know. Have my dash likely try this upgrade. I've already done my speedo and tach. Do you have any pix??

No pics. I sold the spider a year ago and I’m not sure what pic I’d send. Suffice to say, the Speedo/tach look so much better at night but all the imperfections also are more easily seen. Nonetheless well worth the effort in my opinion.

Just to confirm. The BA9 are for the speedo, tach, oil pressure, fuel, temperature guages.

The BA7S are for warning lights and console lights.

Generally yes. I don’t remember how many of each you need. I think I had to buy 2 packs of the larger bulbs but don’t hold me to that.
