The check valve on my '69 is the type in the banjo fitting at the booster. The new ones sold by Centerline etc. thread into the manifold and will not fit the '69 cars according a thread I found on this board.

My check valve is shot. What happens if you just leave it off ?
If I have to have one, where are folks getting these for the '69 cars ??

Cheers,

Jeff

The purpose of the check valve is to allow the booster to hold vacuum for a couple of stops after engine shut off. If your engine dies or stalls without the check valve you lose power braking assist.

Have you tried cleaning it out? If that doesn't work, I'm sure you can find an inline aftermarket one, cut the hose in the middle, and stick it there.

Thanks for the info Tom.
Yea, I'm looking at the generic ones, although there are only one or two in the parts stores around here. Closest looks to be by Dorman, but has two different hose connector sizes so it will take some kludge work
