Hi guys,
Two cold weather questions.
-Heater - Blows on both speeds okay, but not a whole lot of heat. Is my heater box on the way out?
-Temp. gauge - Not working. Is it a lot of work to get it out for repair or replacement (like taking out the whole dash)?
Any suggestions?

Are you sure the thermostat is functioning? If it is stuck open the engine doesn't fully warm up (and thus you'll get inadequate heater output).

Are you sure the heater flow valve is opening? It is located on the left side of the heater box - up above the throttle pedal (LHD car). Moving the slider control on the console should open & close the valve. The other slider moves a door on the heater unit to direct air - either off, footwell, or windshield.

Temp gauge - not too hard to remove but I'd suggest testing the sending unit first. Seems like it's more likely that'd fail vs the gauge.
