I'm replacing my stock ignition coil and distributor with a bosch red coil and 123 distributor. The stock coil had a ballast resistor, which I don't need with the new coil. Do I put the green and green/black wires to the + side of the coil and the white (tachometer?) wire to the - side?

It's a 1979 Alfa Spider and I'm not 100% certain all the wiring was correct when I bought it.

I think I found the answer, can anyone verify?

So, running the coil without the stock resistor, I use just the green/black to the +side of the coil. The green is blocked off because that would bypass the resistor for a hotter spark at startup and my new coil doesn't need a hotter spark. Is this correct?
