i am about to install a new clutch in my 91 164 L.
the manual shows reference notches.
are they the pins that stick out from the flywheel that locate the pressure plate? or is there a specific mark that needs to be lined up like on the milano clutch?
thanks

The flywheel has pins for the pressure plate, but no reference mark that has to line up. Edit: Actually there is a hole on the outside edge of the flywheel to line up with a mark on the pressure plate, but I don't think it would really matter much if they where not lined up, as far as balance goes. An aftermarket P/P may not even have the mark. But if yours does, I would line it up with the hole. It's just a timing mark but, I never use that mark for timing. I use the mark on the crankshaft.
