Just about ready to install the pedal box on my 64 Giulia Spider and I discover that I forgot to install the rubber bumper thingie for the clutch pedal to strike. This got me wondering about clutch adjustment and how it affect the clutch pedal travel inside the pedal box.

Should the clutch pedal arm hit the rubber bumper thingie? As in the case of mine, I've seen numerous photos of pedal boxes in which the clutch pedal arm is striking the aluminum housing just to the right of where the rubber bumper would be glued in. What is correct, or "normal"?

All input is both welcomed and appreciated!

Thanks,

Ray

I just glue a sliver of insertion rubber into that little groove - basically shave it down carefully so that it's a tight fit, then trim to suitable size (+-2/3mm longer) & glue into position. I suspect most of us do this as it stops the clutch pedal from going clonk every time you take your foot off it.
