I believe that my '67 Duetto is supposed to have a clutch spring and a brake spring. One is hanging of the flywheel inspection cover and the other is not to be found.

Plus I cannot find any information in a repair guide BUT I did find one spring referenced in an old Alfa Ricambi parts catalog. I assume the springs help return the pedals to a resting state quickly so my questions: 1) do I need the springs and 2) if so, where do I but them? 3) would any like spring with roughly the same tension work?

Thank you,
