I think I already know the answer but is there any way to replace those clips at the base of the windshield that hold the trim piece on without removing the windshield? My guess is no but i have seen some creative fixes on this forum.

your guess is correct.....there is no way, they go right under the windshield rubber

Absolutely not. Even if you ripped the old ones out with vice grips, you'd never get the new ones back in. And even if you could, the windshield seal would get torn up in the process, compromising its seal to the body. Nope, can't be done.

Yes Dom. I have never tried to replace them without windshield removal but I thought some Houdini on this forum might have something up his sleeve. Just being lazy as the windshields on these are not that difficult and while in there, check for rust and replace with a new seal.
