While my heads are at the shop for new valves and seals, I would like to clean the inside of the block around the liners.
I have the liners held down with washers and plastic conduit, so the liner O-rings are undistrubed.

Suggestions of an approach/solvent?

what stuff needs cleaning out? if it is oil or grease, a mild detergent, if hard water scale, a very mild acid, like white vinegar in water.

Tastes..er, feels like grease.

then use a mild soapy water solution, dont use any solvents or it may eat the o rings.
