I'm sure you all already know about classic car insurance, but just in case you don't:...

If you drive a reasonably old classic car, which is not your only car (i.e. you maintain current insurance on a modern car) you probably qualify for classic car insurance.

I've just got insurance on my Duetto from Hagerty Insurance http://www.hagerty.com for only $95 per year for an agreed value policy. And what's more they were incredibly helpful (sending out documents via courier, etc). So - if you are in the market for classic car insurance and don't currently use them - fill out a quote application online. I think they serve pretty much all states (including Massachusetts which is fairly rare).

No connection with them, just a happy customer.

[PS. After joining in the knocking of an underperforming Alfa vendor earlier (C*****u), I thought it makes sense to praise the good guys as well]

I agree. I have had a policy with Hagerty for years covering my 73 spider. They are a wonderful company to work with. I had exceptional service when my spider got a Jersey nose job in a parking lot a couple of years ago.

Here's a fine example of good service (so far - cynic that I am even after 6 years). Quick to respond, pleasant to talk to, helpful and they have never questioned or negotiated the appraisal value (which changes with the progress of restoration and market) as long as it comes from a reputable appraiser.
