I have a problem I can't figure out. When I shut off my '74 Spider, the Generator idiot light comes on and the battery drains - even when the key is not in the ignition. What is causing this? Bad ignition switch? Help!

Voltage regulator is the most likely suspect.

Try this test; unplug the regulator. If the light goes off, replace the regulator. If the light stays on, suspect the alternator.
