Is there some good information along with photo illustrations of the procedure to replace the Rotors and Brake Pads? Also, the best brand of Rotor and Pads and good source.
Pads obviously self explanatory to remove, disc removed by removing caliper, removing grease cap, split pin and undoing the wheel bearing nut (note left thread on left front corner). Carfully remove the outer wheel bearing then with 2 hands opposing eachother pull the disc towards you to remove the hub, be careful to pull it straight otherwise the inner bearing can jam and that can be a real pain to get off. Undo the 2 screws in the front of the hub holding the disc on and pull the hub off the disc. Fit it it all in reverse of the above proceedure. Ferodo pads are without doubt the best, they do a standard orad pad or a DS2500 for fast road and trackday application which is the market leader.
Max, really, try Hawk pads sometime, really better than a Ferodo DS3000.....
Self expalanatory? On the Dutch forum we had this guy who tried to raplace pads, and complained that he , when unscrewing the caliper to replace the pads, had brake fluid all over.... We seriously, SERIOUSLY told him not to touch his car and to get expert help first...
