Look at the plugs on all the cylinders. That one different? If hard crusty brown/tan buildup it is intake valve seal issue. If black crusty / wet looking it is a ring issue.

I ran the motor for 3 track days. It was burning 1 qt in 80 miles (on the road). I just pulled apart the motor. Oil rings have 2x max gap, the valve guides are warn, and the exhaust valve guides seals had disintegrated... Any recommendations on machine shops or can any competent shop handle replacing the guides? Minneapolis area.
