Is there a thread here with a step by step guide to replacing the cambelt and waterpump on a 2.5 24v V6? I've tried the search function without much luck. Also what is the recommended interval for cambelt changes?

Thanks

Ian,

I'm sorry there is so little modern Alfa info available here. There aren't many of us who have even seen any of Alfa's post-1995 products, as most of us are in North America, mostly in the U.S. I think your engine is different (and the t-belt layout improved) from the U.S. distribution 24V of the mid-'90s. Good luck. Do you have a manual for your car?

Thanks for the reply anyway. You guys are really missing out! I've had classic Alfas for years and this is my first newish Alfa and all I can say is wow! What an incredible engine! No comparison to the earlier V6. The car is not quite BMW quality but the engine is in a league of its own. I managed to get quite a bit of info from alfa156.net. Not quite as simple to work on as our older Alfas!

Regards

Ian
