brake swap/brake conversion

All I want to know is if my brake system from an Alfa Romeo 147 can be fitted on to an Alfa Romeo 164 (s) without major modifications example cutting and welding on the knuckle and new struts or lower arm

I ask because I have never seen the brake system off of a 147 here in San Antonio they are pretty hard to come by.
or if its not possible all i really want is more stopping power
