The brake dash light on my 82 Balocco now stays on even though my brakes are fine. I just had a brake job done and the car brakes fine and is not leaking brake fluid or making any unusual noises when the brakes are applied. Does anyone know what could be happening? Perhaps the switch that controls the brake dash light needs adjustment or replacement?

There might be a switch for the handbrake - to remind you the hand brake is applied. Try lifting up the handbrake lever then move it sideways as you lower it and see if the light goes out. There is also a brake fluid level indicator - the light is supposed to light up when the fluid level in the reservoir drops.

Also the pressure differential switch (that thing on the firewall below the master cylinder) can turn on the light if it is screwed up. If it is turning the light on, unplugging the wire to it will turn it off. Is this switch even present on V6 cars?
