Bought One!

I finally own a GTV6. I've had Guilietta Spiders, Duetto, Spider Veloces, Giulia Sprint and Supers, GTV, Alfetta GT and Berlina, 1750 Berlina, Milanos, Giulia 4Q, and now a GTV6 - since 1971, when I bought my first and only one of two new Alfas. My Super now lives with my daughter. She was to get it in my will, but it's hers early. I just could not drive the Super for more than an hour and still be able to walk - the say my leg was twisted hurt. So, when I heard that a friend was going to sell his very well maintained GTV6, I thought it might be an Alfa that I can drive for many hours without pain. I was right. She is home - her name is Aida, because she sings so nicely. A hernia surgery has kept me from doing too much with her so far, but I'm driving again...and will take photos soon. Here's one from when she came home - just days before the surgery. She will be at the convention in Concord, NC.

Glad to be among the Clan of the GTV6 now.

Super news, Mike! 😁 😁 You are in for a treat, alright. The GTV 6 delivers on everything that is Alfa Romeo. Especially the exhaust note from that glorious Busso V6! They actually ride very well, too, in stock or semi-stock form.
See you next month at the convention!

Well, I dragged two pictures to my post, and they seemed to be there, but I got a some geek message I didn't understand. They were there when I hit "Post reply," so let me try again. This is weird. Hope it works.

I guess the geeks who designed this system didn't anticipate having to deal with Luddites like me. I would up seeing 3x the pics, but I successfully deleted two pairs of extras. I hope to take better photos of Aida in the next couple days, but company is due today through Monday morning - so maybe Monday.

Very cool GTV6, love the silver and the rims. I will be at the convention as well. What color is the interior? Any mods to the car from the P.O.?

Congrats! Now, go buy a Series 3 Spider fuse box and replace that crappy ceramic fuse box. Love the Ronals!

It's got blue leather inside. Very comfy.

Not any s3 fuse box, only 87 and newer with the blade fuses.

Or an 86 to 82 that was replaced. Did a lot of them back in the day. Its the ATO fuse box.
Very nice, looks just like my first one, an 82.
Congrats Mike, Bravo! Will look for it in NC...
Beautiful car, Mike, like my 83 that later I put an 81 black interior into, 5 pt harness, roll bar , built 3.0. 19 years I owned it. May I suggest you look carefully at the Ronal back side hub surface for cracks. Probably the 20k plus track miles and loading caused them to fail , figured I’d give you a heads up.

i've had six alfas; all v6's... 😉 i almost bought a '73 berlina in '76 - 1st alfa i ever drove. but i didn't like the 2nd gear grind. the seller said "they all do that" - heh! 😁
