Bernhard, I had ordered Floor panels from Wolfe Steel, after sending him my floor panels as a pattern I found the panels that he sent me to be substandard. I had specifically requested my panels to be returned with the new ones and he sent me two completely rusted out pieces of metal. He stated that he lost my panels which had two small dime size holes in them. A Monkey could have fabricated better panels. My advice would be to stay away from him.

I don't have any better pictures than these two showing a little bit of the inside of the driver side rocker panel in front of the rear wheels. I would also recommed you contact Erik Van Cauwenbergh, as he seems to have a lot of the components you need at what seem to be fairly reasonable prices (see this post).

BTW: Page 220 of Pub. 1164 (Vol. 2 of the 2-Vol. manual) and page 413 of the single Vol. manual Pub. 992 show details of the construction of the rockers and floor construction (both pictures below are details from this page).

franco,

I have an extra set of the outer skins for the rocker panels . They wer made by Eric in belgiun years ago . Theses skins come in three sections and each side and need to be welded together. i even have the inner panles with the holes in them but does not look like you need these .

Anyway just read your exhanges of emails and thought I would check to see if you have a need for them ?

Let me know

Many Thanks

Andy

Andy,

If your offer isn't taken up by Andy, let me know. I'm going to need all of what you list, plus more for the bottom of my car, which is about to head to the body shop next week.

Thanks!

2600 body

I know where there is a very restorable body that could be used to help you in your inner structure rest problem . The car is fairly rust free and missing front right fender. Please send a Pm message I will put you in touch with the owner.

rockers/cills for 2600 spider

Just for info - I'm told ( you will have to check dimensions) my rockers/cills were replaced using rockers/cills for a Jaguar XJ6 2 door coupe . They are correct for length and fit with a little modification - you have to add jacking points. Also not the correct curvature to match the 2600 exactly but look OK on my car.

Still listed as available by radford panels

Jaguar XJ6 body panels,Sills,Doorskin,Floor and Arches

regards

Ian

Bernhard started another thread on the same issue (what rocker panels look like on the inside). rather than posting there, I prefer continuing this thread and keep all the information in one place.

The attached pictures show my friend Tim's parts car when after it was cut into pieces (unfortunately before I was there to guide a dissection of the rocker panels). The car was extremely rusty and much of the outside sills were missing. Still, I hope some of the pictures give an idea of the box frame construction. If you need larger pictures (2560 x 1920 pixels) send me an e-mail via this link.
