Hi All,

Here in The Netherlands and Germany and other EU country's the oil company's are using 5% bio ethanol in our fuel and in the future this will be 10% and even more.

In the '80 ties the 2300 RIO engine from FNM ( almost the same mech. built as our 102 and 1900 engines ) have an "alcool" version , this one used bio ethanol made from sugar cane .

Does any have information what the difference are to make that engine running on alcool ?

higher compression and other ignition advance I know

but how about:

gastank/fuelpipes /carb seals/pistonrings /valves and valve-seats

I am rebuilding my 102 engine and wants to run in the future on this mixed fuel
