Does anyone know how large are the Milano/75 runners and the 164 S (I mean Quadrifoglio Verde engine AR 64301) ones?
Wanting them manufactured bigger, which would be the ideal diameter?
45mm would be much too bigger?

Way too large if using the better Milano/75/GTV6 type intake.

The 164 design is very long and was built to inhance lower RPM torque.
Intake length and size must be matched to the rest of the internal engine modifications and the use of the car.

Longer induction runners require wider LSAs on the cam design for one thing, and larger runners of any length change the pulse speeds in the runners, altering the cylender filling characteristics..

Richard, what are your thoughts on cutting the base off of the original plenum chamber, making a new 1 that raises the rest of the plenum chamber up 1/2" (adding more volume) or so. And use some proper internal bell mouths at the same time?

I've got these little beasties for another project and thought they'd do a good job of being proper bell mouths for the Alfa's plenum chamber (38mm internal diameter). A bit ling, but that's easy fixed.
